Why are Measurements important in everyday life?

Hello! As you can see this blog is dedicated to everything in relation to Measurements, but maybe you are asking yourselves why are Measuremts that important and how can we relate them to our daily life.

Well, Measurements play an important role in our lives, as we can find them in everyday things such us weight, time , currency, temperature, within others. If this didn't exist in our lives we wouldn't be living in the world as it is nowadays.

Measurements are often taken for granted and we don't appreciate its importance in our lives. For example, if you want to cook properly, we have to measure the ingredients in order to bake a cake or when the doctor tells us to take some medicine we have to measure the amount in order to get better.

The subject of Measurement is very important to be taught in schools as an essential part of the mathematical education of the students.The children need to see the importance of learning this, and this can only be done by changing the methodologies inside the classrooms. It's not enough to teach this in a traditional way, as the interesting part of this subject is to see the practical use. Children learn in a more meaningful way when they see that what they are learning can be used in their life.

This subject can be taught in a dynamic and fun way, in order to increase the interest and motivation of the students.As well, it can be taught inside and outside the classroom as you can find examples of the use of measuremts all around your environment.
