Measurement in Art
There are several measurement techniques used in Art as a way to be able to do different drawings. It is very good to use this in the Art class, as students can practice to measure in order to créate different art pieces. For example in order for the students to learn how to draw, we can teach them different techniques that Will help them, where they Will have to use their knowledge in measurement in order to succed. One of the most common known, that we have all tried in our Art lessons in order to do a drawing of another famous picture or a portrait is the pencil and thumb method: In order to estimate proportion, you must simply place your pencil or pen in your hand and then holding your arm length between your eye and the object that you would like to draw. By doing this, we can estimate the measurement of the object helping us to do a drawing about it, and getting more or less the right measurements.
